Frequently asked

How do I connect Apple Health?
When you first open a screen that uses health data, HyCo asks permission to read your workouts, heart rate, distance and VO₂max. If you skipped it, go to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HyCo and enable the data types you're happy to share. HyCo works fully without Health access too — you can enter everything manually.
My paces or recovery look off — how are they calculated?
Your training paces are anchored to a rolling average of your recent VO₂max readings (and fall back to your training volume and load if you have none yet). Recovery blends sleep, resting heart rate, HRV and accumulated training load. Both sharpen as you log more sessions, so a day or two of data makes a real difference.
How do I log a workout?
From the dashboard or the Training tab, tap a session to open it, then tap Log run or Log strength session. Interval sessions pre-fill a row per rep with your target splits — adjust to what you actually ran and save.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
HyCo subscriptions are handled by the App Store. On your iPhone open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose HyCo, and you can change or cancel there. Your 7-day free trial and renewal terms are shown before you confirm any purchase.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can permanently delete your account and associated data from inside the app, under Profile → Account → Delete account. This removes your personal data within 30 days, except limited records we must keep for legal or tax reasons. You can also email hello@hyco.coach to request deletion. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
How do I export my data?
You have the right to a copy of your data. Use the in-app export tools under Profile, or email hello@hyco.coach and we'll provide it within one month, as required under UK GDPR.
Is HyCo a substitute for a coach or doctor?
No. HyCo provides training and nutrition guidance for healthy adults — it isn't medical advice and doesn't replace professional care. Please read our Health & Fitness Disclaimer and speak to a doctor before starting a new programme.
